BULLDAWGS HUNGRY IN 2010

BULLDAWGS HUNGRY IN 2010

As we continue to move around the league and catch up with various owners we were able to sit down with Eric Johnson, Owner of the Brooklyn Bulldawgs.

Mr. Johnson what are some of our immediate thoughts about the Five Star Football League?

It is great, the owners are allowed to play a vital part in the success of the league. Each owner will be able to voice his or her opinion on league matters so the decisions will not be put into the hands of a single individual.

Can you tell us a few things about what the Brooklyn Bulldawgs will be doing in 2010 on and off the field?

The 2010 Season will be a coming out party for the BullDawgs we are looking to tap into selling our own Brooklyn BullDawg merchandise hats, shirts, bumper stickers etc.  We will also be participating in several fundraiser’s and community events. We are also looking forward to learning and gaining experience from the other 10 owners in the Five Star Football League.

Can you talk about the climate of semi-pro football in Brooklyn?

Semi Pro football in Brooklyn is real tough you have established teams such as the Mariners, Seminoles, Blue Devils, who have been around for some time now.  These teams are able to get top notch talent due to their history and past sucess.  The field situation is also a big speed bump with development ofSemi Pro Football in Brooklyn most High Schools are reluctant to allow Semi Pro teams to use their facilities.

You have a young team are their any players that the world should look out for?

The Brooklyn Bulldawgs are a team with a good mixture of young guys and seasoned veterans.  With vets such as DE Troy Duncan, LB Kendall John, DT Solomon Grundy mixed in with the new crop of young talent SS Perry Louis, CB Antoine Earl, DE Ese Eyagbeshare the BullDawgs Defense lead by Coach Steve “Birdie” Callender will be out to make a name for themselves for the 2010 season and beyond. On the other side of the ball the combination of coaches Vincent Hawk and Steph Grant Sr they look to lead the unit from being cellar dwellers to a well rounded  offense.  With vets such as WR Damont Pittman WR Rodwell Moore, OL Steve “DOGG” Williams combined with the up and coming talents such as RB Anthony “Mouse” Lowe, WR Kenneth Wall, should be a special site to see this upcoming season.

What are your goals here in the 2010 FSFL season?

The 2010 season looks to be promising for the BullDawgs we will just take it one game and one opponent at a time as we strive to make the post season for the first time in the franchise three year history.
